First off, I'll have to say how much I love this program, and indeed the very idea of it... it should be a standard (but given the processing needed, it's understandable why it isn't)

After a few weeks I've started to notice a slow down in accessing contact details. The contacts list is fine, but upon entering a contacts "file", there is a delay of upto 30 seconds before the contacts program responds, showing phone numbers, address, etc.

I've previously assumed this was due to corruption of the database, and reloaded software on the phone, but after 5 reloads, it became a bit annoying.

I've also noticed that the Groups section of contacts (next tab over) doesn't work properly (which is what gave me the idea that Conversation was the problem), since Conversation adds a third tab in the contacts program.

Also in Contacts, I've found that (after a couple of months), I was no longer able to access my sounds/mp3s/videos list when trying to choose a ringtone for a contact, but any already established were fine... I just couldn't set up new ones.

All of these problems were corrected the moment I removed Conversation.

I have not reinstalled the program since, and remained Conversation-Free, and my N95 runs like a dream.

I really like the program, and if this bug is fixed I will re-install it, but it's not worth a phone with so many bugs in it.

Hi guys! I've been using conversation for over 3 years since I had my e61. Now I use it on my n95 and wanted to share some tips. The only problem I can't get around (I believe its unavoidable) is you can't load it from it's icon on the n95 as in from the applications page, as a active shortcut, or a soft key shortcut, but you can get it as a tab in phone book.

A tip I want to share for N95 users is: Keep your SMS inbox as empty as possible at all times (no worries Conversations will keep a copy of the thread) and it will greatly improve the speed of conversation on load ups and your overall contacts response. The problem is the n95 holds an enormous amount of messages, and the conversation app has to check through them every time you start it up. What I found to my surprise was that when I erased my sms inbox, all the conversations (that I deleted form the SMS inbox) where all still in the conversation app and it loaded in seconds. Seems like the conversation app keeps its own database of SMS messages that is independent of the SMS inbox.

Keep SMS inbox clean and it will run like a charm. I have Nokia Conversation, and Ovi Contacts running as tabs with my phone book along with MSN live tab mixed in there too. Sometimes I get memory errors but have a great experience overall. I can't wait till this is all ironed out.

With Ovi Contacts and Conversations: I find myself in my Phone Book application 80% of the time as my messaging and phone calls originate from there. Now if only Conversations and Ovi Contacts and the phone book where all on the same list and not tabs. That would be the ultimate. I see you heading there Nokia, but could you hurry up please?

I don't care what anybody says, I mess with every companies phones cause I don't want to be a fanboy, I base my purchases off of quality and Nokia impressed me for the past 15 years. I always get thier flagship N or E series, nothing lower.
