My setup: e71, software version Version 200.21.118 27-11-2008 RM-346, Conversation 8.40(0)
How to reproduce the bug:
- Go to 'Messaging', Options/Setup/Text Message/Receive report and set to 'Yes'
- Go into 'Conversation' and reply to a thread (preferably with someone who has their phone on)
- Right after sending the message, when the "delivery report" comes in, the phone will beep for the incoming message
What behaviour was expected:
The report should be briefly shown in a notification "popup", the notification mail filed into the "Messaging" "Reports" folder. The message thread should stay the same in Conversation.
What I got instead:
- Conversation shows a new incoming message in the thread, with an empty title, the proper date/time and an icon denoting an unread message.
- The new "ghost" report message can't be viewed, nor deleted.
- As soon as Conversation reindexes the messages (e.g. after a phone restart), the "ghost" message disappears
