I really like this app and it's a great start.

I couldn't get the search to return anything when I only entered What - even if I entered an artiist I knew was touring because they been shown on the Recommendations page.

The UI is slow and unresponsive sometimes.

Selecting venues near the user is a great idea

Basing the Reccomendations on artists that you have selected or played on the phone is a great idea.

The app shows a lot of promise for the future - maybe some of these ideas can also be included in the Events section of Ovi maps?

Success depends on the gig information being available to the app - some gigs I have tickets for where not listed, even though the same artist had other gigs listed - not Nokia,s fault but the app depends on the quality of the info.

It would be good to be able to restrict the countries that are returned in any searches. Eg I live in the UK and it's not useful for me to see gigs in USA.

From what I've seen so far this is a nice application. It's taps into your music library to help profilee the gigs you might want to see. not sure how up-to-date it is but it also show my local Orchard Theater in Dartford. I know there's a whole program of shows coming up but they're not showing at the mo. So not sure what server sits behind the app. Not tried booking tickets yet.

Anyway it looks like a really good start.

1. To add artists to your profile (to help recommendations):
a) Click the MENU icon at the top left of the page
b) Open PROFILE
c) SEARCH within the profile. This will let you add virtually any artist wihin the Nokia Music Store to your profile, regardless of whether or not they are currently on tour.

2. To Search artists on tour:
HINTS:
a) Type in an artist name who you believe is touring USA/UK/Ireland/Canada.
(Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Bon Jovi, Imogen Heap, etc)
Leave the city/venue/date blank. this will open the search more.
b) Type in a city or venue name and leave artist/ date blank to see more options.
c) If you get too many results, do a date range. Click the start and stop dates to create a date range.

NOTE: Remember when searching...
From the SEARCH page:
Click the SEARCH NAVIGATION BAR icon to clear the screen and enter search field information (artist/genre/city/venue/date)
Click the SEARCH icon (from the main search menu, under the date range field) to search for artists/ music events of those who are currently performing

From the PROFILE page:
SEARCH will find results of artists to add to your profile, regardless of whether or not they are on tour

I also love this app...wow it works very well for me!! although I'm in Toronto Canada and it's showing 1 concert in the United States -_-
