N96 compatibility.....Why!??????

Hello!!!

why is this app working on some FP2 devices like N78...and not on N96???? I dont understand that thing?? Can someone explain it to me please.......

Sorry about that, but the N96 seems to handle the internet connections somewhat differently than all the other S60 3.2 devices. We tried to crack it already for this release, but unfortunately run out of time.

Now we finally have the necessary prototype and the latest SDK, so we can start investigating this further. We will start a new two-week development sprint on next Monday and hope to have some results after that. The goal is to support N96 as well, but first we have to figure out how to do it.

It works on the N96 if you have it set to always use a access point, or if you don't you first start browsing a web page then select "here and now" using the favorites in the browser option menu, so that is uses a already open connection.
Otherwise it will claim it can't connect, when it doesn't even try.

i have tried on N96....and it works....!

But:
i think the application doesnt fit the N96 screen resolution cause some works are "cut" : the word "now" ( "maintenant" in french is cut, perhaps the word in french is too long, i dont know).....is it normal???? thanks

In Portuguese I've yet to find any words that are cut, but also the portuguese translation is small "Aqui & Agora"

This is valuable information for us when we try to solve this in the upcoming development sprint. We had some bad luck with our prototype and the latest SDK, but hopefully we can crack this during the next two weeks.
