Mini-Review on an N85

Review for Here and now

Nice app! Thanks to the developer and Nokia for bringing this to market.

Here's a few points:

Likes:
-Recognized my city (Toronto) and displays weather for it
-Shows what the weather 'really feels like' as well
-Weather shows for different time intervals throughout the day like AccuWeather and Handy Weather

Dislikes:
-Don't like the bookmark format, especially since its currently not able to be setup as an active standby shortcut
-Don't like that 'Events' aren't working in my city although this is understandable since Nokia isn't as active in Canada as they are in other countries

Requests:
-Please make an application
-Please add a plug-in for the standby screen to show weather
-Ability to see the weather in a city I'm not currently in would be beneficial
-Ability to send the weather forecast and event listing to a friend via email / sms / mms etc

As for the application part, i would like to suggest the WRT widget mode. If this Internet Suite could be merged with the Web Runtimes engine (Noobie Alert :D ), then this could move from being a bookmark to a widget which can be launched directly via an icon.

As for standby screen, i doubt it would be possible on FP2. But it shall be there on the N97 via a standby widget.

The ability to see the weather as well as upcoming events for another city would be a nice addition.

Hah, asking a little too much here, arn't we ;) Cant resist i agree. Although i would like to add that this can come in later, after the Internet Suite package has been finalised and worked upon on a priority basis.

I don't really know, alsiladka, the bookmark installed is pointing to a service whose support may have been installed along with the application, I'm sorry I figured this out *after* installing in my n95 where it won't run :)

What I meant by Application was an actual .SIS client that can access Here & Now functionality through APIs or something.

I donno...I just prefer applications over web-sites. It'll also provide better integration with other applications such as calendar & contacts IMO...

After a few days, I've come to the conclusion that I actually don't like the bookmark implementation for this app. I would prefer a dedicated icon.
