It is a pitty if H&N team does not make the application for S60 v5.

though
i love the new maps with this function i would very much like to see it as a homescreen widget on my n97. It's inconvenient to have to load the maps (though the latest maps load pretty darn fast) just to get this basic info not to mention a waste of power.

Yes, N97 support (and also home screen widget) is something we would really like to do. As soon as we have some other stuff out of the way, we'll take a shot at this. You never know, it could be easier than we think... keep watching this space.

Yes, most of the functionality is in the latest Ovi Maps for Mobile / Nokia Maps... I think nokia change the name of Nokia Maps to Ovi Maps for the phone client.
