then if u can make this that we can put weather in standby its very nice.i think our phone need weather in standby screen...
i dont like event cz it doesnt work for my location ...
i hope u add news and some other entertain ment too.( but that weather is more important)

We are looking into the "application should be visible on grid" issue especially for the Beta Labs, so watch this space for potential updates. We have it currently as bookmark only because it is going to be delivered integrated into the phone firmware and because it needs the Browser anyhow. Might be that we have to reconsider there as well, but let's see what the product programs think.
The events coverage is something we are still working on. We should have some technical improvements with the next server update, but basically this is something that will gradually get better over a longer period of time.
News and entertainment are definitely worth a closer look. We are constantly trying to come up with new concepts that could be turned into a meaningful service.
Sorry I cannot comment on the weather source other than that they seem to know what they are doing;-)

@Vahooli, I like your idea for weather information integrated into the active standby. WOW so much potential for Here & Now using active standby plug ins.
I am also shocked to hear that you are not getting any events over there... could be several reasons at this phase, but let me ask you a specific question.
How far away would still be interesting for you? I mean if we do not find anything nearby, then would it be useful to show something a little further away? Ten miles radius? Twenty? Fifty even? Please let me know as it would be interesting to hear an opinion from the land of "automobiles driving long distances";-)

That depends on where you live (in the city or in the countryside), if you have a car or not, how much free time you have, etc.
There's no "one radius fits all" answer, so this should be a user-configurable option.
