Connecting via WLAN / WiFi fails

Hello all,

I am using the web-server with my Nokia 5800 (RM-356, software version 21.0.025)

Connecting the web-server via my 3G network connection works,
but somehow connecting via WLAN / WiFi does not work.

Whenever I try to start the server on my phone, it says "connection is being established", then I select my WiFi connection (WPA and proxy settings defined in phone settings, works for browsing etc.) ... the web server connects but after 1 second automatically disconnects. The status is set to "Restart" and it tries connecting every 30 seconds or so - without success.

Anybody had the same issue?
How can I see why it disconnects automatically?

Is it maybe due to WPA security, or due to the proxy I specified in the AP settings?
This would be strange, because as I said I can use the same WiFi connection for other web activities (e.g. browsing) without a problem.

hmm. weird as we have not experienced such a problems but do you have possibility to try any other Wifi connection, maybe settings are some what twisted.
Did you select IAP as use user defined ?
Well try to look a bit more and come back to you but no good ideas currently, does proxy settings prevent something ?

I've got the 5800 with the same firmware but don't have that issue.
I'd recommend a reinstall of the MWS software and then make sure that you are choosing the right Destination (Access Point) and going from there.

I had the same problem, and after examining my router's firewall logs, solved it by allowing access to 62.61.69.11 on all ports. It seems to want to connect to port 9500 on the portal site, so you could alternatively open that destination port on your firewall. I couldn't find any reference to that in the docs, so I chose to allow any port to the portal site (62.61.69.11) in case it changes in the future.
