The Moodagent Technology
Designed with music enthusiasts in mind, Moodagent delivers a music-listening experience unlike any other on the market today. Some playlisting and music recommendation solutions tag songs manually, limiting you to what is in their libraries. Some tag songs based on purchase records, limiting you to popular music. Moodagent looks at the emotional aspects of a song and can use every song, even user’s own original recordings, to generate the perfect playlist.
The Moodagent technology creates a profile for every song it encounters and stores it in an Amazon EC2 cloud. To create a profile, the song’s digital signal is analyzed, a segment (or segments) of the song is then amplified and run through 34 artificial intelligence music expert systems, which are constantly calibrated by musicologists.
Moodagent is able to create song profiles that measure the degree of each song’s characteristics, including moods, genres, tempo/beat, vocals, instrumentation and production features. Moodagent combines digital signal processing, music science and artificial intelligence (the key to Moodagent’s scalability) to focus on the way music is perceived emotionally. While some solutions have limits to the songs they play; Moodagent can play any song, no matter how obscure, without language barriers.
About MoodAgent
Moodagent is developed by Syntonetic, located in Frederiksberg, Denmark. The company was established in 2000.
Fearing that the dismantling of albums into individual tracks would destroy the “album experience,” Syntonetic invented and patented a solution to draw lines of emotional logic between diverse artists and their music. By understanding the truly musical values of individual tracks the team at Moodagent have created a whole new mood based album-like experience.
Since launch, Moodagent has built a global fan base of more than 3 million users across 187 countries, and more than one billion songs synced in the Moodagent cloud.
