Windows cannot find 'lame.exe'

After a sucessful processing of an audiobook from mp3 files when you try to process a second book you get the error message

"Windows cannot find 'lame.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To try to search for a a file, Click the start button, and then click search."

When you OK this message you get another Error message

ERROR LOCATION: 'Processing'

ERROR CAUSE: 'MP3 decoding'

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION: The system cannot find the file specified.

You OK this Error box and get another error box opening in background saying

Unable to open WAV file

You OK this and get the last Error box that says

ERROR (-301)in resampling and level adjustment

Processing terminated

If you close the Audiobook manager and reopen it it works fine for a single book again

It looks like I have fixed this by adding the audiobook manager to the windows path environment variable

sorry I am not a techie but have same issue, can you explain how I implement the fix you mention

I had the same thing, suddenly.

Change PATH on Windows XP:

goto Control Panel ->Performance and Maintenance->System->Advanced->Environment Variables

then goto System Variables and select Path in the little window and then click Edit
click on the filed with Variable Value and and this to the end of the long string there:

;C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Audiobook Manager\

Do not forget the semicolon (;)
