Whats about your media-flagship N97? No internet Radio Client, no audiobook, no voip client!
When will you start to support N97? In this way you will loose your leadership very soon. It
Any update on when we can expect an audio-book app for s605th?

Don't hold your breath. This is a hobbyist project, with very little activity recently. I'll clarify the situation during the next week or two!!
But we do have some cool things bubbling under in a related area. Stay tuned...
Disappointing to hear but thanks for taking the time.
Looking forward to see whats bubbling :D
I recently got my N97 after upgrading from my N95. I had not discovered this app before but after trying to listen to audiobooks on the built in player (which I keep accidentally closing) I thought I would try this but like many found it wouldn't install.
Anyway after much Jiggery Pokery I got it installed. (not sure if I can describe how on here..)
The only thing I can't seem to do is get to the options button whilst the file is playing.
It seems there are shortcut keys for some of these but not others (I may have missed some).
I installed WF Virtual keyboard so I could get at the options menu although thats not a particulary elegant way of doing it. Some way of remapping it to a hard key would be preferable.
At least it is usable though.
A proper V5 version would be even better :)
i would like t know how you got it to run.. on my 5800 or n97 it iinstalls but not correcly.. too quicklyu and in app manager says only 1k taken up.. and never appears in the menus/app list..
It involved extracting the .sis and rebuilding it with help of the SDK.
I had the same problem when trying to install - 1
I had the same problem when trying to install - 1K install - How do you mean with help of SDK? (sorry i'm clueless :))
thanks can you emil me a copy of the rebuild sis to kahn@lgk.com or post on a ashare site somewhere.. i do have a cert so can sign it for my phone myself.
this project looked dead for a long time then there was a spark of life. Ofcourse now im wondering what kind of exciting news there will be in around a week or so as mr vilkamo posted here on the 11.

Really miss Audiobooks on my device
I fear that this is what they had in mind when they said something related is coming out.
http://betalabs.nokia.com/blog/2009/09/17/introducing-nokia-braille-read...
It's related to accessibility which is a fine thing by itself, but not to Audiobooks.
I used my n95 for audio-books quite a bit so the n97 for me is starting to feel more and more like a downgrade. I wish nokia would just come out and tell us if they intend to introduce an audio-book function or not. As always, Nokia is terrible when it comes to informing its customer base of anything.
These threads requesting a s60 5th version have been ongoing for quite some time now - the only real response ive seen is the one above stating something is bubbling in an related area.
Can someone advise if this related area plays audiobooks or not?
I found some solution for Nokia Audiobooks application. With this application yuo can play straight from folder!
http://vzin.net/folderplay-v1-7-for-nokia-5800xm-n97-signed/
And one more thing. You can still use nokias audiobook converter (mostly for saving space) and manualy copy the files from C:/.../Documents/Audiobooks to your N97 and play them by using `folderplay` app. Nokia N97 supports file format of nokia audiobooks files! :D
And, of course, we understand You Janne Vainio that it was inposible for you to make that player work on N97 before archeving it! good luck to you...
I've been looking all around for a software where I can listen my audiobooks, but as everybody in this chat I haven't been lucky, but I just found that the software Alone MP3 Dictaphone has the bookmark feature missing in all other software to listen mp3 files so finally I think I found the perfect alternative for Nokia Audiobook Player... I have to say that I have not tried to listen to an audiobook in the nokia format since all my audiobooks are in MP3 format so if someones tries it, please keep us updated! Enjoy!!!!
Nokia, The lack of decent apps for your phones is very frustrating, and somewhat insulting. The bare minimum should include internet radio, decent web browser, movie player and audio-book player plus the other essentials. the smart phone market is moving ahead rapidly and you seem to have problems keeping up. At this rate windows and android will overtake you, not to mention apple, stop suing them and put your energies into getting better products to your customers before your competitors
