The new Beta Labs site is now live! We welcome everybody to try it out and give us your feedback.
This launch hasn't gone without its setbacks, so unfortunately, despite missing the promised launch date, there are still some features on their way. I ask for your patience, as they will eventually get there.
The reason for this new update was updating the underlying operating system. Thus we needed to re-do practically everything.
New features in this release:
- Following applications
- Feedback helpfullness ratings
- Editor's picks
- My Feed
- Feedback categorization
We have also removed some things, e.g. the forum overview has been removed from the navigation bar. The idea was to provide a good enough My Feed functionality for users to stay up-to-date with the content that matters to them. You could follow favorite applications in one feed and your own discussions in another. Sadly, however, these two feeds are joined as one big feed in this version. We know this is not optimal and we will definitely change it in the near future.
Feedback is also more clearly separated into the four categories. This is done to emphasize the importance of the feedback item's category. We hare hoping that if you are indeed interested in following an application's feedback, you can go ahead and favorite it and thus be up-to-date with what is happening there.
