When I leave the page open, but inactive for a period and return to the page and either selct refresh in the browser or click on the main forum tab to refresh teh main forum screen I get automaitically transfered to the BetaLabs home page. This didn't used to happen and all I want is to refresh the Forum main page to see any new posts.

Do you have to sign in too? Or you auto sign ok but get redirected to front page?
Auto sign -in is still OK, but I get redirected to the front page (homepage).

Failed logic is corrected but did not have time to wait for my session to terminate of old age so confirmation of a fix would be nice.

This problem still exists!
And it is VERY annoying if you're 'timed out' when creating a longer post. When you are done and press "Post comment", it is gone!!
The creation might include some testing on the phone to give accurate description, and could thus take a considerable amount of time.
The workaround (for now) is to ALWAYS remember to copy the written text to the clipboard, before submitting. :-/
What SHOULD happen is that you were led to a login-page, and continuation from there would continue whatever you were doing, including a submit!!
But the whole idea with "Remember me on this computer for two weeks", seems somewhat gone, when you're timed out all the time.
Even though you only need to press "sign in", and are not asked to re-enter name/pwd.

I admit, the "remember me for 2 weeks" is not working well in Beta Labs. We have a bug with "passive" authentication, which is probably related to this issue as well, so signing in the user transparently based on cookies if the session is no longer valid.
These authentication-related bugs usually take a bit more time to nail down. But this passive authentication is high in priority currently.
I will know more by the end of next week about the schedule of getting this bug fix live.
