Possibly this is because I have been on beta-labs for too long. Some years now? But my betalabs page says "5 new replies" and I go to the my feed section and I don't have enough history to get to those replies.
So I am always going to have "5 new replies" on my beta-labs page.
Well, I had the same problem, and 'simply' went through all threads with unread post in all fora I have been in... It took a while, and I've only been in here in 2011, so with your "some years" this is hardly an option. *LOL*
A check box "show unread only" on the MyFeed page would fix it, so you could get access to the newest 8 unread.

The 5 new replies are unread ones! They are probably in the "Sports Tracker" forum, or "Friend View" or maybe even an old Ovi Maps forum, which is hiding in the Nokia data dungeons. Locked away, and the key is in some drawer in some programmers cupboard which has been moved into storage.
Either way I can't get to those 5 x messages. I guess I can live with it.
We'll look into this. The feature becomes quite annoying if it constantly says "You have 5 unread replies" without any possibility to affect that.
I've noticed the same thing, so I'm with you on this 100% :)
The my feed doesn't contain your whole history, only about 30 days I think, so most likely the replies are from the past month only. Not sure why they're not showing though.
Anyhow, we'll look into this.

That simple enough. Only the newest eight are shown (read or unread). So if you have say 12 replies since your last check, you could only see the newest 8, and the 4 other are not accessible through the MyFeed page.
So simply implement a check box "show unread only", on each tab, and it is fixed.

Seems like a lot of us are showing "2 New replies". Whilst you are on this Ilkka. Its nice it tells us we have "new staff replies" but when you click on it it just goes to the same my feed. Would be good if they are differentiated

Uou MIGHT try to simply use "Show unread only" one forum at a time, this SHOULD reveal the 'hidden' replies.
They are all gone now!!! Thankyou.
Reading the posts in my feed now remove them from the my feed, giving room for the rest.
You still need to read the already read ones one more time I'm afraid.

Ok, so I 'simply' needs to open the hundreds of threads that I have participated in?
Could you at the least sort it with the newest first, so I could react to active stuff first, and travel the history bit by bit...

Got mine done too, simply a case of finding the newest ones, which at first did not show because of the limitations in terms of number of replies the site shows you at any one time

Unfortunately after 're-opening' all 300 threads, I haven't got a single new post on the myfeed-page.
Not even the counter....
So I only found the above post from sheridan01, browsing through the fora for threads with unread posts.

Got it. The order should definitely be newest first -> will write a bug ticket.
There's a lot of room for other improvement still for it, which are in planning phase.

It seems that feeds on the "MyFeed" page, and counts in the "New Replies" is not totally out of order, but only partly.
I did get one feed/count for a posting in this thread

I did NOT get feeds for the above replies by CLTSchwarz and ilkkapeltola in this thread, nor from multiple other threads.

Until now I've only seen TWO(!) different entries in the myfeed page
1) The above mentioned
2) Three posts someone moderated to a thread I have replied in.
(Three equal posts) and this did NOT even 'tickle' the new replies counter.
More replies even in the thread from 1) by the same person, do not appear, nor triggers the counter...
So it is REALLY broke - for my account at least.
Feel free to test on my account, the restricted would be a good place. (But please don't mark any unread threads as read, without marking them back)

I'll also see 5 unread messages, click on one forum and all unread messages will disappear.

@CLTSchwarz, Well my problems are slightly worse, new posts does NOT pop up on the MyFeed page, nor does the "New Replies" counter get triggered.
(Two of your posts are the only real postings that have triggered anything)
@Eske Do you have anything on the my feeds page? I just kept clicking on links and then clicking the back button until the my feeds page was empty.
Your one post here showed as 2 posts and appeared in the My Feeds twice so you must also have some sort of special status!

No, not anymore, I had 300, but went through them in a similar way
(I used "open link in new tab" on the eight visible, refreshed and repeated, and closed it all. About 100 at each run)
So now the list is empty, and only twice has real posts appeared since. Both yours, for some odd reasson, (one in this thread, and one in another). But your last post didn't generate anything, so something is rotten somewhere... :-o

Oh, I know the reason for that!
When I EDIT a previous post it counts as a new post in your "MyFeed", even if you haven't read the original.
And since my English isn't too good, I often find spelling errors, bad grammar, or other stuff that makes the posting less clear than intended...

Well, yes I'm past the initial emptying too.
My problem is the opposite, only a fraction of all replies in threads I've posted in are included in MyFeed and in the "New replies" counter!
Currently I find these by manually scanning all fora I'm active in for unread threads. Some of which are threads I too have posted in...
(I use FF4 and have a tab-group with one tab per forum with "Show Unread Only" and use "Reload All Tabs". In the tab-overview I can then see by the size of the white boxes, which fora got new unread posts)

Yes well that is a known issue that we all have due to the limit of replies shown in the feed, but if I am not mistaken as it does it for me. When you click on one and view and then go back new ones have appeared. So you do get them all eventually.

Sheridan01s post gave me a suspicion!
What if there is a limit on the maximum total number of read and unread thread kept under the hood for each person/account. And only when some are purged out due to age, there is room for new ones??
I THINK I started out with the new layout with 299 (it was something ending en 99 I'm sure!), that does s suspiciously look like a limit, but could be a coincidence of course...

Today was perfect, your 5 posts showed up correctly
299 surely sounds suspicious. I'll crete a bug report on this, and we'll have a look at it. We'll need the developer's help on this as this will require some code-digging.

Sorry, we haven't found out the reason yet. The ticket has been opened in our system, but given the nature of the bug, it is not easy to reproduce. I will look into if its priority can be increased.

What puzzles me though, is that no one else reports seeing this. I would expect You and other of the "active contributors" to see the same phenomena.
But since I understood a new totally revamp of the page is on it way, I hope this would solve the issue.
Well my replies (in terms of quantity) varies. Some days its only a few and I do check regularly so they never build up. Occasionally overnight they may get to 10 or more. Then the system seems to faulter slightly. But i just click on the links, those replies not showing initially then appear after I have cleared a few. So as I say it works, it just sometimes does not show all initially

Sorry for not being able to make my self clear. Let me try again.
The problem is that there ARE real postings in threads, that OUGHT to figure as replies, but never does. DESPITE my MyFeed has been completely emptied
My MyFeed list have been empty and the reply counter zero all day, despite refreshes. I only found your comment (posted over twelve hours ago) in this thread by manually browsing through all the fora I have in my trial, and ask to "show unread only", and then open all threads.... It works, but is a bit tedious(!)
So my question is, do you (or others) have the same phenomena (perhaps without noticing/knowing it!)
Have you opened up threads with new unread post(s), where you have previously posted, but without this thread appearing on the MyFeed-page, and/or reflected by the reply-counter ??

I had xxx unread replies, and now it says I have replies in xxx feedback threads, and the same threads that I have already looked at this morning are showing up again. After clicking on the same thread twice the number has finally disappeared and it says "You have no replies in your feedback threads".
Probably just a teething problem?

Everytime I post I post something, it goes on my unread list.
Same here, originally had 6 listed, one has gone (somehow)but the other 5 are there each time I visit the site, either by mobile or PC.
Even tried clicking on the Flag All as read button but no different.
Ok, either it's been fixed or you have to open each post in the thread, not just the last few as I'd been doing.
There's a "show all" button Top Right for those threads that have been around for a while.
I have no threads with comments at the moment, have had that before so fingers crossed that it's still the same tomorrow.
So much for that!
7 hours later and they are all back again.
Yes, threads are reappearing for me several times a day. I can click on them, or click "Mark all as read" and they still come back
I'll increase the priority on fixing this. I'll have a chat with the developers today to see if they can figure out any reason.

Yes, this is fixed now.
@sheridan01: the random behaviour came from the nature of the bug. It marked threads as unread again, when people posted on the same forum. So, posting on Nokia Drop forum would mark all your Nokia Drop threads as unread (or something). Anyhow, now, it should be fixed!
There might be some more bugs in the My Feedback Archive, but they should be much more minor ones. We'll get to those in the next release.

But the old one of not showing those that ARE unread are unfortunately still there!!

Yes, this 7-week old bug is still there. I've increased the priority of this bug to critical. We haven't found the root cause for this yet. I'll have a chat with our testers to see if they can try to reproduce this somehow.
Oh, and good new addition about the RSS feeds, that might give us a lead!
Well sometimes(!) I get things in RSS that doesn't go into the feedback page.
My personal GUESS is that the select is of the form (in pseudo-sql)
select * from (select top 300 * from threads where today-60 .lt. stamp) where ...unread...
(Perhaps the inner select being a view, and thus not obvious)
And when someone has a lot of active threads, it is rather random whether the new ones gets under the 'cut'.
Of course the code SHOULD have read
select top 300 * from (select * from threads where today-60 .lt. stamp) where ...unread...
or
select top 300 * from threads where (today-60 .lt. stamp) and (...unread...)
If a top is needed....
Depending on the sql-server used, you might also put an ORDER-clause in the inner, to get the newest under the cut. This would usually fix it. But isn't a stable solution.

The last few days I have actually seen reply-entries on the feed-back page!
This MIGHT coincide with me not being active early July. If there are some 60-day period in play.
So I get under the ceiling for the number of supported replies.
I GUESS that what might go wrong is a clause with "TOP" (or "ROWNUM" in oracle) on the WRONG side of the criterion for unread.
I GUESS something like
¤ SELECT * FROM LimitedView WHERE Read=0
where the LimitedView is something like
¤ SELECT * FROM ... WHERE ROWNUM<100 and (GETDATE()-60) < Stamp
