Post creation filters.

What ever happene to the plans/ideas about post creation filters discussed the following old post.

The amount of non posts seems to have increased since the site update.

The amount of duplicate posts seems to be on the increase again, including the what about this platform and this doesn't work on this unsupported platform posts.

Maybe my frustrations with this will reduce after your next site update as my route though the posts won't be quite so longwinded.

Unfortunately, the concept didn't in the end get much support in product planning and the feature didn't make it to the new update. The reasons were that there were too much concern of how well it would actually work, would the flow be accepted by the users and thus would the feature really be worth investing the time.
Frankly, I'm not sure how this case should be re-opened... But surely, if leaving it out was the wrong decision, we can try to get it done now. I am a bit worried about the community of Beta Labs becoming a bit too mainstream, too many users not really getting the point or contributing in a value-adding way. But this is a bigger issue that cannot be addressed only with nice features.
