"Show unread"

Suggestion for Nokia Beta Labs

Morning Guys,

Is there any chance you could add a "Show unread Topics" and "Show Unread Posts", or a more general "Show Unread" to the individual forum pages. This system works well from the Forums main page, but once you have clicked on the topic hyperlink for a forum on the main forumm page and then clicked on one of the unread topics listed, for example you have three options to find the next unread topic.

1) Browser back button and refresh to see the remaining list.

2) Forum tab and then re0click the topic link to get back to the unread topics list

3) Forum link in the route links below the tabs and then sort by post twice to get the most recent posts at the top,

Some sort of "Show Unread" would be much quicker and easier for the user.

Having such a link would make it one step easier to go trough the process of reading unread topics.

Another suggestion that would help would be the ability to private message in the forums. How acheivable is this is this.

We've thought about the private messaging feature and do agree that it would be valuable to be able to do so. For certain reasons however, we have decided not to implement such a feature yet. I do feel it will be done eventually.
