Nokia 5530XM, RM 504, v31.0.5 Nokia 6300, ???, ??? XP SP3 *Behavior observed in OVI Suite 2.1 and PC Suite 7.1.51.0 *Behavior not observed in PC Suite 7.1.18.0 and previous versions. *Communication Center Splash shows version 2.0 both in OVI Suite 2.1 and PC Suite 7.1.51.0, but I forgot what it was showing in 7.1.18.0 *Communication Center at "Copy" command of a message creates a file "%user%\Local Settings\Temp\Nokia Communication Center - Messages\$Name_$Year_$Month_$Day.vmg" If name contains invalid characters for file creation, $Name is equal to "Message" If there is an existing file of same name the file is inserted with "($number)", $number increases until there is no file of same name. If $number reaches 100, endless loop of creating 0 byte files "$Name_$Year_$Month_$Day(100).vmg ... $Name_$Year_$Month_$Day(10000).vmg ..." with increasing $number until program is forced to quit. If a message has been previously "Copied" it will not be created in file, previously created file from first "Copy" of message is used. Recreation: > Start Communication Center > Right click Copy message/messages > Until you have "copied" 101 messages with same date and same $Name > This will hinder the interface useless while creating a lot of 0 byte files up until you stop the program Communication Center. Work around: >Copy unique messages (in terms of $Name and $Date) in groups of 100, each time restarting Communication Center. >Beg nokia for a fix. >Create a program or hope someone creates a to copy your messages to computer.

Phone: Nokia 6233 Firmware: v 5.60 (14-09-07) RM-145 I have Nokia PC Suite 7.1.40.1 on Windows XP Professional. It comes with Nokia Communication Center 2.0. Problem: Nokia communication center has stopped loading sms messages. It only sometimes loads the contacts but no messages. I can browse the files on phone memory and memory card however. All my messages are stored on phone memory.

Hello could you please add multiple calendar entry export support, even using granularity like week, month or even year? This would make possible to transfer entries easily between devices by first exporting and then sendign the file via BT to 2nd device and extracting the BT file to 2nd device calendar. Or is there some other easy way to do this without Outlook for multiple entries? MP

I exported some sms with Nokia Communication Center 1.0 and saw that instead of having the name of the contact, I have their phone number, but with the phone number i have to check each one to know who sent it. I think it would be much more useful if we could see the contact name directly. Thanks,

Please take note that if the user backup his/her contact list through this software, and then restores the contact list back to the phone, those numbers will be lost. More evidence that this is indeed a bug: If you take a look inside the NBU back file, the VCards has those information stored there.

When selecting a contact and try to dial with the right mouse click the phone does not take any action. But when I open the contact first and dail by clicking on the phone button the phone starts dailing. I am using the phone 6124C.

Hello! At the moment in the communication center it is impossible to sort contacts by last name, only by full name (first then last). The phone itself allows this option, please, add this feature to the program.

hi. It would help if you could sort you contacts by the call group classifications. This would allow you to know who you have not assisted to a group in your contact list so when you decide to only allow certain group to ring you know you have captured all the revelant people. Also on the phone it self you should be able to see what group people are assisted to.
