Hi guys,
I live in Portugal and believe it or not when i new about the Nokia N8, i knew i had to have one but for that i had to wait till Jan. 2011. So i couldn't wait and when i went on holiday to Frankfurt i bought it and i was in heaven, i mean the fotos are unbelievably beautyfull all my friends love the fone, etc. .Well till about 2 days ago when i remembered that with a phone like this i could access my PC at home remotely just like the Iphone of one of my collegue from work, unfortunately i discover that Iphone has loads of app's for remote desktop such as teamviewer and outher cool ones like jumimouse, i am very disappointed at Nokia for not having some kind of program for remote desktop.Can u guys help me with my dilema here is there any way to do this ?Nuno Romao.

there is an app that do it, but I can't remember the exact name, you should find something like rdp+ for s60 v5, probably it will work on the n8 too.

Thanks Navio but i install it allready on my computer this "RDP" but it´s only a trial, although i don´t know wat do i have to put on the fone as the server i tried and went to see the intalation in Utube but nobody posted nothing like that only how to install in computer :(.
Do you know wot i have to do?

Teamviewer at the moment does not work on the symbian mobiles, they have the application for iphone and and working on android :( but if a lot of Nokia users (as I'have already done) or Nokia itself ask about a version for symbian^3, probably they could work on it.

For your Nokia N97 phone you may have a look at SymRDP from telexy.com.
It is Remote Desktop (RDP) client for S60 5th phones, 4th from top on this page: http://www.telexy.com/Products/Products.aspx

i try the rdm+ but its not like a native solution, its to slow,maybe because is a java aplication, the Symrdp works great in nokia n97 but telexy says the application is not working in symbian^3 and they dont will develop, i really need a god app for rdp, i hope somebody listen and create some great app for this purpose

Hi, for now these are the applications that support for Remote Desktop:

http://p73.com.br/rfbtouch - RFB Touch. Clients using vnc.(I have tested and work)

http://www.kinoni.com/rd_nokia.html - Kinoni Remote Desktop. (I do not yet run)

SymRDP not found in Symbian^3 o last versions.

Unfortunately there is no support yet (to my knowledge) version to run on the internet, all they do on LAN. Maybe you could make a VPN and use via the Internet.
