Not Available for 3er Edition!.. There are more 3rd ED Devices than 5th ED. Will it be available in future or like OVI3 the old customers will be left aside
Note that this app, and the underlying idea, is at experimentation phase - therefore not pushed for everyone. What we are trying to get done, is learn how to create a magical self-diagnostics experience. In any case, such functionality would be best integrated as part of the (future) device and its software platform, blending into background, not released as a standalone app to existing devices.
We are not trying to being evil :)
I do agree, we are missing out the S60 3rdEd device users. Soon we would plan to release for the 3rd Edition !!! Thanks for showing interest ...
about that,can someone tell me what soft is used to make that demo movie ? i will like to know more about that , becouse i use some stuff me too
New apps should be available for (first) S60 3rd. and second for 5th. I agree with alexben. There are more S60 3rd than 5th!!
There are more V3 devices that V5 at the moment - but that will not be the case. Remember these are beta applications for future devices.

Unfortunately the fp1 devices are not supported, at least for now :(
Maybe a poor justification but Some changes in the Symbian code forced us to exclude fp1.

ya what about n82 .... n82 and n73 are used higest in india ..
india is one country which uses nokia phones ..but are dissapointed with firmware updates and applications... they should be also doing regular surveys... being loyal to nokia i insist them to use nokia .. as people have started using china phones which are quit cheaper and quit advance .

On installation, the installer says it is not compatible with my phone (which is N93). Please help urgently
I doubt very much if The N93 will be supported quickly or even at all. Its now 4 years+ old so unlikely they will get this app ready for pre V3 FP1 devices

Wonder how big a difference is between N95 and N95 8Gb - Nokia Diagnostics refuses to run on the later.
Would be nice to have it working there as well :)
Tbh I thought it was S60 V3.2 devices that they added support for. Not 3.1 devices so neither are technically supported by this app currently

Yes, you right... I misread N85 as N95.
But suggestion still stands - support V3.1 devices, like N95 :)

ND is for S60 v5, as written on the main page of the application it is not working with the S60 v3.

I understand your concern. Since this was an experimental app the initial release was for S60 5.0 devices. Support for 3rdEdition is underway !! Would update the forum on the release plans sooner.
N97 user my friend was using this diagnostics ,it was cool and i was hoping i could use it for my e61i too..
i think S60 3ED users are more than the 5ED ,and we would really appreciate if its released for us soon!

I think coz E71 is not a S60v3 FP2 device
I think Nokia beta team and their managers should get brain diagnostics as 80+% of Nokias on market are NON TOUCH DEVICES.
Another tip: My Siemens C35 from almost a decade ago had these functions built in.

Successful betas . Able to solve most Symbian apps shortcoming .
Nokia have a long way to go on their software & phone OS .
Very buggy mobile computer with clumsy default browser .
Excellent hardware on N8 needs frequent updating but Nokia
slow approach to software development & bugs fixing need to be
improved . So far my N8 less problems free but bugs fix manually done .
Hopefully PR 2.0 will solve all users anxiety on our buggy Nokia .
