Friend search options

Now in Friend View you can search and add friends by:

user name
screen name
full name
e-mail
phone number

This works both in the mobile and Web UI. In your Account page you can choose to make your full name, verified e-mail and phone number searchable, otherwise they are not used for friend searches. Previously just user name and screen name were used in friend searches.

In the mobile client, the search is available as Options -> Search for friends, when the Friends tab is visible. You can open the Friends tab e.g. by pressing key 1. It is possible to pick a number or an e-mail from the phonebook as well (see Options in search view). To add a friend just click on the search result.

I installed latest version 0.911 yesterday but still cant find options in search.

Hi Suyog!

Can you try this:

1) Open Friends tab (e.g. with key 1)
2) Options -> Search for friends
now you should see "Search:" input dialog box
3) press Options again you should see commands
Search
E-mail from Contacts
Number from Contacts

Same commands are under Options in the search result view as well.

After some searching and trying, I was able to find the search function.
How about adding there an option that it would look through all my contacts via email or via phone number?

Add options to look through ALL contacts in my phone.
Not just one by one.
