Agreed. In fact, while I am a great fan of this app, I find it completely redundant and should be integrated with Chat.

Why just these two services?
Share on Ovi has a contacts list.
Image Exchange introduces sharing between phone contacts.
Friends View, Nokia Chat support friends list.
Why can't all of these use the same contact list which is stored in your nokia account?
Infact, how about the phone contacts being synced to the Nokia Account (Ovi Sync), which can be accessed via any of the services?

For now, one name for all services is a very good start. Now the name should synced over all services.
In fact, I'd say merge it and the 'Contacts on Ovi' application as well as Maps.....Actually I'm sure that or similar may well happen for now though I really enjoy these apps. It's just I need to get more folk I interact with onto both!
One really good way to do this would be some form of linkage to the friends on Facebook.
I believe I suggested elsewhere a while ago, that my Nokia address book should have a detail field for a contact
Would be the ideal to me to have all contacts in one place.

having all contacts together will be great. right now we have Phone contacts<-->contacts
OVI contacts, contacts for OVI share, Friend View friends, all too much

We have different contacts list, differents maps caches. We really need some consolidation!
Have to agree with all the guys, its getting a little silly, Have my Ovi Share contacts, Contacts on Ovi, N-gage Friends, now friend view (which btw its myself as I don't know anyone with it). Would like to keep normal contacts separate from this but the rest should be merged or at the very least be able to sync them together
