Unable to upload certain photos

Hi,

I have a problem uploading certain photos from my N95-1. Photos were taken with my friends N95 8GB and then transfered to the Images folder on my device via the PC. When the Image Exchange was executed for the first time after they were added, it showed 12 new photos, but when i went online it just skipped every one of them. I deleted the photos and the corresponding Gallery's _PAlbTN folder (not sure if it has anything to do with Image Exchange actually), then I took some photos with my device, transfered them back to where they were before and again Image Exchange skipped them although they were queued for upload. It did upload those previously taken with my device though. Uploading those same photos from my PC didn't work either, while I was able to upload a few random photos that were taken with my Canon DSLR.

One more thing considering the Image Exchange site. If you open a vertical oriented image and scroll down a bit, the links (back, previous, next and all the numbers) become unclickable.

Hi,

We'll start to look into the issue. For the record _PAlbTN-folder is for thumbnails and deleting it causes Nokia Image Exchange to re-generate these for those images that had stored their thumbnails in that particular folder.

Hi,

When i first installed the app i was unable to get any images to upload to the online web.

So i restarted my phone and its working fine now.

Nice to hear from you all.

It has been so long now and in the meantime I decided to stop using the Image Exchange application on my N95. It was so frustrating having to look at hundreds of empty thumbnails, although I've removed all the _PAlbTN folders that I could find on my device. That was another problem I had.

Since there is a new version available, I'll give it another chance and see if the problems are still there. I'll delete all the photos I have previously uploaded to my web account, remove all the _PAlbTN folders from my device, restore all the images from my PC backup to N95, install the latest version of Image Exchange and keep my fingers crossed. :)

I'll wait to hear from you again, Carlos, before I go on with the procedure. My user name is same as here on the forum - "alteredego".

I have removed all the images and every single _PAlbTN folder I could find on my device, restored images (65) from my PC backup, installed the latest version of Image Exchange and guess what - all the orphaned thumbnails (black squares) are still there. 530 of them!

There must be a way to remove every trace of the previous installation and get rid of those annoying black squares. Please, tell us how, or let the user chose whether he wants all the information (including login info and thumbnails) to be removed when uninstalling the application.

As you can see from the screenshots below, there are 75 files displayed in my Gallery. 65 of those are images, the rest are videos, yet Image Exchange displays 595 thumbnails, 530 being orphaned.

I have posted a separate bug report relating to the multi-image view not updating when an image has been manually rotated by the user. The lack of refresh/update of the multi-image view could be linked to this bug report. As they could both be refresh related.
