Review for Nokia Image Exchange

I am really impressed with Image Exchange - I thought it would be just like Share on Ovi but it is so much better - especially as you can now sign in with your Nokia account and it shows your friends and who has posted images.

This is absolutely brilliant guys - thank you and please as this is experimental do not stop the service its so good

This should be built into FW's as soon as possible and marketted intensively to build awareness.

One minor improvement would be when sharing to facebook - share the image rather than a link - but this is only minor. Also adding share options the obvious one being twitter would be good too.

The Facebook implementation is somewhat lacking still, but we wanted t get you something that would do to begin with. For example, N900 does this in a nicer way already. We do hope to improve this feature in Nokia Image Exchange as well, hopefully with a little twist even. :-) As usual, though, I can't give any promises.

hey!

i know this programm from my n82 where it has worked very fine!
but now with my n97 this programm is not useable! it crashed every time!!

Is NIE crashing through lack of Ram - do you have any other apps open?

I have just setup my white N97 running V20 FW and all seems fine - connected easily - registered and scanned through my images and online images fine.

I would either reinstall NIE and when using make sure no other apps are running and see if that helps

It was worth a try as I know the N97 does lack ram most of the time. especially when using hungry apps like Nimbuzz and Gravity. You may need to give the guys full details of your variant.

Full FW version, RM number and product code, whether you have unlocked private folders!!

There has been also a reported issue that some images make Nokia Image Exchange to crash. If such an image is first on your own image sequence, Nokia Image Exchange will exit on start constantly.

At first, it doesn't hurt to try a reboot. If that doesn't work, the offending image(s) can be removed via other software such as the standard gallery that comes with the devices.

We have identified the issue and are working on a fix that should be out in near future. These issues may be caused by something else, but as of now I am not sure what that might be. Please contact us via imex-team@nokia.com if problems persist.

Update - V1.00 on the N97 FW V21

Working very well with a couple of minor issues - firstly Friends (people) shows a little number - 7 in my case but its always empty. The new search on my images is great but thumbnails take ages to load and 3 images would not show at all (15 minutes I left it open). now having gone back in the thumbnails are much faster (obviously needed time on first open) but still have 3 blank spaces. Having looked in my photo gallery they are there too - not sure where they came from. Checked details and they are 3kb in size so nothing I have taken with the camera but they have an image name that suggests they were taken on 01-03-2010.

However all said and done this is still a fabulous app and will be great when friends section works as it should
