Hi,
We have been studying the possibility to include support for S60 5th edition. Unfortunately, it is too early to say anything when it will be available for Image Exchange users.
On behalf of Nokia Image Exchange team,
Elina Vartiainen
can it be read as a confirmation that it will be developed for 5ed ... Sure hope so

This app would be great for my N97, hope it won't take too long before the s60v5 version is released.
"I think that Nokia Beta Labs should focus on this product more, since Nokia 5800 it is a very popular and good Nokia product why not to have Nokia Image Exchange on it working fine. I think Nokia made a big step with Nokia 5800, and as a first TouchScreen Nokia, i can say "Congrats!". But also you should work harder to get all other Beta Labs applications in Nokia 5800!

Thank you all for the interest on touch UI version.
We've definitely heard of you, even if we can not give any promises on that. As Elina mentioned earlier, we've been looking into the possibility of making the client for a while now. The work needed is rather lot for a small team like ours and we would also want to make sure that the possible touch client would be good enough to be worth doing in the first place.
Thus, we don't want to give false promises or hopes even if we are definitely looking into this.

Hope you and the team are provided with the time and resources to port the functionality of the S60v3 version over to S60v5. We'll just have to keep an eye on the betalabs website and imex website for any updates.
Fingers crossed

and since the photo browser has been around for a little while and even got ported to nontouch phones such as about any s60.x phone one cant help wonder; 1) why
was
it made in the first place when imex was already around for further development
2)dosent the teams work togheter clearly imex and photo browser is an overlap 3) is the code so far from each other that they cant bee joined 4) maybe someone will come up with the idea to focus on imex instead of pp cause in my opinion imex is by far a more complete product allready.

I recently moved to 5th edition from 3rd edition and Photo Browser is no where close to the GUI of imex. Photo Browser needs to get scratched and replaced with imex
Thanks

Nokia N97 v12.2.024 RM-507
dose this has a simple photo slide show built into it and will it be ready for the 5800 very soon?
@moshing: In current versions we do not (yet) have a slide show built-in. Thanks for reminding us.
On behalf of Nokia Image Exchange team,
Janne Kaasalainen
:) you would not belive how trick it is to find a basic slide show app, the standard one on the phone stopps when it recives a file from a bluetooth paired device and on the web files are miss tagged or just don't work on the 5800 yet. Is there any change you clever nokia labs chaps and ladies could make a little one?
In a few weeks I will be putting some Internet tablets and 5800's into a school library for children to loan out just like they would have traditionally loaned a book. The drawings that they produce on the tablets will be displayed in the library on a tv that is connected to the 5800 on slide show mode. The bluetooth has to be on to receive the completed drawings as i may not got there for a week or two and i want the 5800 to store the finished drawings.
Thanks in advance :)
any news yet? still waiting to be able to install this in my 5800xm

Why so much for a simple update s60v5 have to wait, Nokia does not fit into any of this, should be updated immediately, and users should notice
See the Beta Labs blog and our download page at imageexchange.nokia.com. This is a pre-beta version, so be a bit more warned than usual.
