This was shortly discussed earlier here: http://betalabs.nokia.com/forum/topic/5384
We cannot hook to Flickr with Nokia Account, but still wanted to mash up with a 3rd party service. To have multiple content repository services (CRS) would add more complexity to the backend and possibly to UI as well, as CRS API features would have to be matched to UI elements etc. Question of resources and focus.
The experimental nature of IS shows in this kind of lack of integration to mainstream offering of the company. I hope we get to better integration in the future -before that we try to focus on the feature set, service and UX improvements.
