1. How can I register for the service, I don't seem to be able to create an account at your Web-site?
If you do not have a Flickr account, create it now. Then go to Image Space. You will be guided through the signing process.
2. Are my photos uploaded to Nokia Image Space?
No, we don't store your content. Once you have linked your Flickr account to Image Space, your photos are automatically available for you and others to see, according to the privacy settings you have defined in Flickr.
3. How do I share from my phone to Image Space?
Use your device's sharing client for posting content Flickr, as usual. Image Space fetches the photos from there when someone who you have given permission to view the photo browses the area, and/or selets the photo for viewing.
4. Can I upload images from a PC?
You can continue uploading the photos to Flickr the way you have been doing previously. However, you have to see that the metadata (EXIF) gets transferred together with the photo. Some uploading solutions have a setting to remove e.g. the geotag from metadata.
5. Can I move my images to a PC?
Please rely on Flickr mechanism. Flickr is the content repository site, where the photos reside.
6. Why are my geotagged photos not displayed in Image Space?
Please check you have followed IS Capture guidelines regarding your Flickr settings. Otherwise we cannot access them.
7. Why do you link Image Space to Flickr?
As a research project, we were interested in creating a mash-up with a 3rd party, and Flickr is a very popular sharing site with a rich API. This explains also the use of Yahoo! ID for authentication. In addition to that, there is a Share Online client for uploading content to Flickr installed to Nokia devices straight out of the box.

8. What activities can cause me charges?
Uploading content from your phone to Flickr causes data transfer which may create costs which are dependent on your data plan. If this is the case and you want to avoid it, you can upload photos once you are next to a WLAN hotspot or upload the photos from your computer.
Image Space Mobile browsing creates loads of data transfer, so please be aware of this.
9. Can I use Image Space Capture without data connection?
Image Space Capture causes you no need to have a data plan. You only need this if you want to upload photos over the cellular network
10. What happens when I'm roaming?
Image Space Capture causes no data transfer. However, you may want to upload your photos by other means than over cellular network to avoid excessive costs.
However, Image Space Mobile creates significant data transfer, so it may be best to not use this when roaming.
