Yes, another Nokia failure for N97 users.
In order to install Nokia Image Space, you will need to install the Qt platform application.
This would be ok for most devices, but not for us due to the poor main memory allocated to the device.
But you have a 32GB mass storage available, what's the problem you may ask? Simple, the Qt platform will not install to mass storage, despite being specifically told to during the installation process.
An additional 8-11MB memory footprint for Qt is a bridge too far, and is too much of an encumbrance for me to even justify giving this application a good test.
It's time for Nokia to get serious about code optimisation, particularly if they're planning to keep releasing underpowered/spec'd devices like the N97. The footprint of their applications and pre-requisites needs to come down drastically to ensure that user experience isn't impacted by their new services and applications.
0 stars for the Beta Labs team - take this back to the drawing board and have a really good, hard think before pushing a beta relying on the bloated Qt code base.
