N8 install question/request

Bugreport for Nokia Magnifier

not sure if this is a bug or not - but i tried to install nokia magnifier 0.09(1) on my N8 PR1.0 011.012.215.04
as this is something i would find very useful

it starts the install then says
"application not compatible with phone. continue anyway ?"

at which point i say "yes" to see what happens

and the installer then says
"unable to install. component is built in."

i have searched for it but am unable to find it

i find it odd that it would let me install something that really doesnt work on the N8 and odder still that it appears to say it exists in the phone already

so i would like to ask
where is it ?
and if its not in the phone - then why isnt it ?
and can it please be made available for the N8

This is not a bug as the application is designed for and stated compatible with the Nokia N95 / N95 8GB (See download page(http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/nokia-magnifier/download_and_installation)). The N95 is based on the Symbian 60 Version 3 Feature Pack 1 (S60v3.1) Operating which is non touch. The N8 is based on Symbian^3 touch interface.

What you are identifying is akin to stating that an application designed for a PC using Windows 95 does not work correctly on a touch tablet using Windows 7.

Bug should only be reported for devices listed as supported on the Download and Installation pages. Anything else is not a bug as the app is not intended to work on other devices.

hello and thanks for the response - however - that is not the bug

the bug is when (and im quoting myself from the above post) :

if it is built in - i should be able to at least find it
if it is built in - where is it? i would like to use it - and i should be able to if it is built in

if it is not built in - it should not say that it is
if this is how the installer deals with s60v3 apps or any incompatible app - then its a bug or poorly designed
surely it should say "application incompatible with this device" ?
or any variation thereof
"cannot install due to incompatibility"
"software incompatibility problem - please contact developer"
etc...

perhaps i didnt explain myself very well
i was aware that nokia magnifier probably would not work with my N8
but as i think that would be a great app - i tried it just in case - as occasionally older apps do work
also - perhaps im being a little provocative here - in order to get a response from nokia
but id like nokia to include this sort of application in the base system of all their phones
or at the least - to make genuinely useful software like this available for the latest devices
