@lphamax
i have not had a problem yet
Same as Alphamax, if three email addresses are listed in portrait mode, touch screen doesn't work, same problem with "inbox", "outbox" etc.
Also it would be nice to have a "sync" button - as the E71 - when opening the application.
This may be my fault as haven't been playing with N97 for long - Is there any way to open the applcation without going directly to a mailbox (again as per E71)?
Cheers
i am unable to reproduce these bug on an n97
Snowy - are you using the same version of mail? - Mine is Version 10.00(10)
Thanks
Mike
10.0.1.10 and on a NAM unit. Hope this helps out.
Snowy - thanks, mine is a UK model.
Alphamax - I can get the touchscreen to function by "double-tapping" to select.

Thought I should mention that I have been having problems retreiving any mail via Nokia Email (Messaging) on my N97 so thought I'd try a re-install this morning. Went to http://email.nokia.com and when I seelcted to re-install after logging into the site and received the sms. The installation fil informed me that I was replacing version 10.00(14) with version 10.00(14).
Don't know the differences yet.

this is looking more like a euro firmware issue to me. i should check for a newr version of nokia messaging.
10.00(14) is the latest version. Also known as 10.0.1.14. It released either at the end of last week or yesterday morning.

I agree this isn't ready on N97 yet. I have observed the following bugs:
* As above, many touch events are not registered on the popup mailbox and folder selection menus, I have two mailboxes configured also. You can also see this in the famous Engadget N97 video review, just before the reviewer throws the phone to the table in disgust.
* If Nokia Messaging is not configured, the email setup wizard starts itself on every reboot.
* When I set sort by to 'Unread' it forgets this every time it refreshes or when I restart the app
* Nokia Messaging uses tons of private C: drive storage. It is not possible to install on any drive other than C:, which on N97 is unacceptable due to limited C: drive space, and when it is installed, it seems to leak disk space, currently with nothing else on C: drive, I see it takes about 48 hours to hit 25MB usage. The only way to free up space it tell it to do a full resync.
* Possibly related to the previous disk space issue, the home screen widget seems to regularly forget that it's configured and drops back to the unconfigured widget view. This can be cured by rebooting the phone, or going to settings for that widget and re-picking which mail box to show. This may also be related to having more than one mailbox.
* Email Setup doesn't let me enter an existing nokia messaging account, nor recognise if I try to add a mailbox for an account already attached to a nokia messaging account. The only way to get it to work with my existing account is to go to email.nokia.com and resend the provisioning text message.
Version 10.00(10)
I tried version 10.00(16) on my NL N95 and have the same issues as mentioned above.
As referenced by weid1374: the latest version for N97 in the UK is now version 1.2 build 1.0.1.16 (main), which is installed via Software Update.

How do you get Nokia Messaging Client to point to a different drive as opposed to the ridiculously small c drive.
I have had to uninstall this excellent app due to the memory getting full almost immediately.
this would easily be resolved by simply pointing the app to use the d drive where there is plenty of space.
Why have nokia used such a strange setup with having a tiny c drive. why have two drives at all ?
Ben
This is a question that has raised it's head sooo many times and the simple answer is that you can't. There is no option within Nokia Messaging to change either the drive it installs to or the drive where it stores e-mails. This is a reason why the latest version for N97 will only keep e-mails for a maximum of 3 days.

I'm a Nokia Messaging user from Movistar, Spain. In theory I can use Nokia Messaging if I'm a Movistar user, but when Nokia Messaging trys to validate me as Movistar User something fails, and I still was a trial user. After a month my trial account expires and I never can revalidate it. I can configure my account and validate, but when i start Nokia Messaging it start setup again.
I was in the last two month to solve it, but it's impossible, i format my phone, reinstall it thousands, and alway i have the same problem. Movistar tells me that I 'm the only person who have this problem.
I'm using a Nokia N97 RM-505 with FW 20.0.019 (but I try it with all old firmwares)
With N97 v20 If i'm in the photos gallery (either the stock one or the beta labs photo browser), and select a photo, no longer have the option to send an "email via Nokia Messaging" like we had with previous version 10.0.0.13. Same situation from Contacts app. I
