I cannot get past the SMS provisioning screen. I always get "unable to connect to server" errors.
I do not have a data plan, I use wifi connections.
Can wifi be used for initial setup? If not, why not?
Thank you.

You need to send an SMS initially to set up the app. This is the way it is set up. I did know why, but I'm getting old and my memory isn't what it used to be. I'll have to look around for the reason, but your phone needs to send an sms. Not sure if they use SMS push or something for the service. If so you won't see the SMS in your intray or sent items, but used fo mail reporting purposes. Need to check.

Thanks for the response, but are you referring to Nokia sending me an SMS?
I have received the SMS sent by Nokia to setup the app - multiple times.
Once received the SMS auto starts the setup (titles SMS Provisioning)...I tap to continue, it tries to connect but always fails with "unable to connect to server".
The messages Nokia sent are never stored in my SMS inbox if I look there...
FYI: this is on a Nokia 5800
The SMS is deleted automatically when the password screen appears.
Appologies I understand you problem now.
Have you tried connecting via GPRS, to see if this is required for the first time only?
