The priorities set in the "network destinations" menu are not taken into account.
It would be nice to be able to use WLAN first and then fall back to packet data when out of the office/home.
I know it's not in favour of mobile operators but that's a must-have for me.
Having to switch manually each time between WLAN/3G is not acceptable.
I definitely agree with ehpst! I think the whole OS should have auto switching built in. I can't seem to get this "destinations" thing to work seamlessly yet.
True for many applications in the 5800, where only packet data connections are used automatically, without giving any option to choose the connection! Found to happen mostly during the "setup" phases, like in the case of nokia messaging, but in some applications even thereafter... For instance, the "IM" application can't use WLAN at all.
The connection prferences and the "choose connection" thing require serious attention, and should be better integrated into the OS "connections" module...
