Why only firmware V12. I am still on V10 and can't upgrade (vodafone, Netherlands). Wonder if they ever let me upgrade.

I think V12 has many improvements to stability and C: space management. I'm on V11 so have to wait also but it only takes about a month for me. I'd contact your operator and ask them what's going on..

You could debrand your phone but this voids your warrantee. All you would need to do is get someone to change your product code to a European generic. This would enable you to get your hands on the FW updates at point of initial release, but as I said before this would void your warrantee.

I have installed this on v11.. Have you tried installing it?

I used OVI Suite and a USB Cable. Have a go :)

Right, while 10.x.xxx is extremely unstable (my phone crashed more than 10 times the first week i own it) version 12.0.024 is extremly stable (didn't crashed yet). I don't know if this i fixed in 11.x.xxx or 12.0.024 but you really should tell your provider to release a newer firmware cause he is completely out-of-date (in october we get version 20.x.xxx with kinetic scrolling and more).

For some reason Nokia never released v12 FW for the UK market. All N97 handsets with UK product codes have v11 FW except Orange which have v10 FW.

This app will run on v11FW, but I am not sure what issues it's use could cause.
