Let Alone Version 20 for the N97 - My N97 wont even go to Version 12.0.0 -
How do I Update This Damn Phone - Have Tried FOTA and NSU.....
Although....I have had my N97 Since May 2009 and had NO ISSUES TO DATE!
Uninstall evreything Nokia from your PC. Possibly using PC Suite Cleaner if you want to be sure (downloadable from Nokia).
Install OVI Suite from http://www.ovi.com
When you connect your phone via OVI Suite you should be able to upgrade via the Software update option in the Tools menu.
DON'T FORGET TO BACKUP FIRST.
If this does not work you could try backing up your phone and then foramtting your E: drive via "File Manage" on your phone and Hard Resetting your phone (open the dialler and type *#7370# (the password default is 12345). This will format your C: drive and re-install your present FW. Don't forget to backup first., but only restore Calendar Entries, Contacts, Bookmarks and Messages. Do not restore Settings or Files if you have had issues prior to Hard Reset as these could re-introduce some issues.
