I get a certificate error when trying to install the Jad fie directly from the mobile browser.

Could you try installing by sending the files to your device over Bluetooth or with PC Suite? That will help narrow down if the issue if with the OTA download or the files not working on your device.

Device : Nokia E71x , software version 03.28
Software installation - All
Online certificate check - Off

Downloaded the chat-e71beta.jad and .jar files on the computer. Tried to install with PC Suite AND from the phone and received same error :
Certificate error , contact the application supplier .
