E71 --- Logged into the google talk account even after signing out

I was able to successfully install and use the Google talk from Nokia Chat in my E71. But even after signing out of the account, it seems that I am signed into the Google talk account. From normal Gmail interface, I am getting the following error message:

---'''Oops! You are not invisible because you're logged into Google Talk from another client, device, or location that doesn't support invisibility.'''

I am sure that I am not logged in from any other applications and this error is appearing after I used the Nokia Chat application.

I tried to troubleshoot by following ways:
> Changing my google account password
> Uninstalling the Nokia Chat application from my phone

But the problem prevails.

We're not storing your credentials on a server someplace... So if you've deleted the app from your phone, and you get that error at Gtalk - can't see how Chat would be causing it...

After uninstallation of Nokia Chat, the problem disappears after some time ( before that I posted the above comment !!!!).... I have reinstalled the application again and still now I didn't face the same problem....so probably it was temporary or I missed something ... otherwise this application rocks.

Hello Ranashnash,

Uninstall the application, install it again on the phone, then use gtalk for some time,, and you wont face the problem.. If it doesn't work the first time, do it once again. Uninstall the application, install it again and use it.

same problem here, a network failure during logout of gtalk account might have cause this, now there are 2 logins of same account as i see in jabber client. How is this happening?

same problem here on a brand new E72. Tried uninstall/install several times but no success. Anybody knows a workaround? I wish i didn't try this app now

Same Problem. I am using Nokia Chat Beta client. I logged out successfully, NOT using Gtalk, despite that I am "available" with the green dot. Its deeply embarrassing that people assume that I am available even when I am not.

I last used the app on E63, then did everything mentioned above, but nothing happened. I am online even after 48 hours.

Help!!

Same thing happned to me with E75 this weekend... I've already uninstalled and re-installed the application and the problem remains.

Is there even an hint for what is causing this? Otherwise the application is great.

Same issue has happened for me with an E71. Installed the application from the Ovi Store. Reinstalled several times, also logged out and removed gTalk from the application. Nothing I do seems to work. It still shows me logged in to gTalk and available, 72+ hours later.

Its as if the client doesn't send the correct logout sequence or something. I use primarily via WiFi rather than a cellular data connection.

My issue got solved after I uninstalled nokia chat and never installed it back.... Nokia should seriously do something about this bug otherwise the application is really awesome... after logging in the application... it just doesn't log out thought it shows you have logged out....

lol didnt you guys here the nokia guy up above? they didnt store your creds so it must just be your faults. all 12 of you. and if it doesnt work, just keep uninstalling/reinstalling till it does.

I use different status messages for Gtalk on My PC and E71. When I am logged in thru E71 the status message is 'via phone'with busy sign, and on PC its generally 'available'. I have logged out of Gtalk on both phone and PC, and checked on my friends Gtalk list.........it shows my status as 'via phone' with busy sign.........so dear Nokia rep even if you guys are not storing the credentials or you can't see why chat would cause it ...your damned application is BUGGY....and it a cause of major annoyance...so PLEASE try to get it fixed.........installing and uninstalling an app is not a very fun thing to do.

For sure I am never using any IM or EMail client from Nokia in the future. Nokia, your software are always buggy be it chat, email, ovi suite or the symbian itself. Enough of your bs. I am moving on to some other better solutions. No wonder people choose others like iPhone or Android phones.

By the way, I have used 4 Nokia phones till now and as I typed the post above, I WAS logged out of the GTalk... wonder how it happened after 14 hours... Do Nokia really doesn't store passwords?

Not much help, but I have exactly the same problem with my Nokia E72!
I have been using "Nokia Chat" for a few days with no problem but as of yesterday, I am shown to others as being logged on even though I have signed off and logged out properly! This is very embarrassing as others think I am reading them but not responding! How can we fix this very annoying bug?
I am using Google Talk to chat.

My fiance is using a C3 with the Chat application to access Google Talk and is experiencing the same problem. Even though logged out, she keeps on being shown as logged in, but no chat messages even get stored as offline messages.

Even though Nokia might not be storing login credentials, it seems the chat session is surely not being closed correctly (or something like that)
