Dear Nokia Beta Labs Team,

I've been using Nokia Messaging IM in my E75 since its premiere release on Beta labs (I received a notification e-mail from Nokia, I'm Nokia Messaging subscriber).

Initially I was quite disappointed by the decision of Nokia to code this application on Java platform, (there is a dedicated discussion thread regarding this matter FWIW). I suppose the IM application is intended to be available for both s60 & s40 platform, thus it's an Java app.

However, Chat app isn't sluggish and unstable as I expected (Java application notoriously known to be so) and I think the UI is quite stream-lined. Overall is nice, :) though, IMHO there are still a lot of work to do to make it a full featured IM application.
Java still possesses some limitation, of course, l reckon I will not likely able to see APN management from within the application.

Lately I updated my Nokia IM to the latest build (14-09-09) and my phone asked a confirmation to replace version 5.29 with 2.00. I'm quite sure the 2.00 is newer, looking from its time stamp, and there's new IM service added there (Google Talk). What's with this confusing version number?

As soon as I try to chat with it, I noticed now the chat windows is using phone's default UI instead of the application's, this made everything get truncated, and the plenty space used to be there for the chat windows is now trimmed in this version. Not to mention the ugly disintegration between Chat app. UI and phone theme. :(( This is a major drawback for me. :(

Any comment from Beta labs would be appreciated :)
