I cannot open nokia email only nokia email setup,when i try to open e-mail i go back to menu at the same time.I have set one acount with nokia email setup and it works fine but nokia email wont open i go back at the same time i try to open it to phone menu.I have Nokia N95 8GB.
Any solution for this problem?
there's two problems actually:
- I'm not getting the SMS
- I've tried all URLs listed in other discussions here to get the client using my web browser. When it finally installs (takes forever), I configure my account there but the mailbox is created in the "Messages" folder. The Email application never opens.

I had this problem too, but before recent update. Try re installing the program.
If you still stick to last version then this was my solution.
You must set email via sms then the "email" icon would be accessible.
Yes, it doesn't make sense, but it worked like that.

can't get the SMS this time so I tried downloading from
email.nokia.com
email.nokia.com/install/ (asks me for user/pass)
it doesn't work in either case. I've tried uninstalling-reinstalling and installing from scratch.
resetting my device completely is not an option at this time.
OK - for the specific problem of being unable to setup Nokia Messagingby using a sis file downloaded from the phone (or from the PC), here's how I got it working:
- installed nm
- ran "Email Setup"
- when prompted for my email address, I replaced myname@mymail.com for myname@something.that.looked.unknown.to.nm
- when asked for the details of the mail service I remembered I had seen an Intellysinc or something folder in my mem card with my prior installation, so I selected
email type: intellysinc
userame and password, the ones from nokia messaging
server, netac4.vie.hosting.nokia.com
then, it just worked - now "email" opens and I've been able to sync my email account.

i am still having the problem of the email not opening currently using e71,n85
everything installs well and i am getting my emails but when i click on the email icon it doesnt open up....
solution please?

what I did:
- install new version
- open email setup
- try to setup your account again, if it creates the account in the "messages folder" instead of NM, try my solution above: basically, fool NM into thinking it doesn't know how to setup your account then configure using intellysinc and your correct account info.
anyone any other solution? mine looks quite complicated though it works and is what I had to do with my n95 and my wife's
PS: email won't open until it's configured

I noticed you making reference to intellisync. Thought I should point out the following from the Nokia Messaging website.

I think I've read somewhere that NM is based on Intellysinc so that's why I tried configuring my account with that protocol pointing to netac4... an it worked.
The tricky part was figuring out an account that email setup wouldn't know how to configure so ti didn0t create it on the messages folder
