Nokia Messaging set-up failing with btinternet

I've just got a Nokia E63 and have been trying to set up Nokia Messaging with my btinternet POP3 email account.

Each time I try, it fails with the "Unable to connect with the information provided. Please try again" message.

It does this if I try to set it up on the phone and on the messaging website.

Looks like it's caused by incorrect btinternet settings, but there's nowhere you can add or change these.

It worked fine a couple of months ago on my old E71.

Anything I can do?

Not sure what happen especially if you said it worked before.
Have you tried setting via sms(website)?

In the Nokia Messaging set up...both on the phone and on-line, there's no option to set or change the email account settings....only email address, username and password.

I've now switched to another push email solution, Seven, and it works fine with the same email address. Just seems to me that the settings Nokia Messaging is automatically adding are incorrect. But I'm no expert !

No i was refereeing to your tinternet POP3 email settings via their website like gmail.
Whatever works in your favor of course ;)

I am seeing something similar to this as well, except with an IMAP account. I know the server is up and the account works, I am seeing my emails with the native IMAP email program on the E71, but when I try and add it to my NM account it says "Unable to connect with the information provided. Please try again later." And then that's it. I can't manually add the account or change port/encryption settings, nothing. For me, this means I can't use this NM. Workaround anyone?
