It seems to me that sending mails is only possible by plain smtp, which needs the mailserver to be configured as an "open relay" for Nokia's servers.
For compatibility with typical Email-Provider-Setups and obvios security reasons sending mails must support SMTP-Auth over SMTPS.
Absolutely essential. NM has graduated from beta and this appears to still not have been addressed, along with SSL support for IMAP.
Given that NM's servers are not going to be part of a typical ISP domain (or home user's network), they are not going to be able to send via SMTP as open relaying is obviously blocked. Very basic security of almost all SMTP servers is to disallow open relays for anti-spam purposes, and yet NM expects an open relay!
