How do I get my N95 to stop vibrating every time a new email comes in?

I'm using Nokia Messaging on an N95. How do I get the phone to stop vibrating every single time I receive a new email message? I really don't need the phone to do anything at all when Nokia Messaging receives a new message. When I want to look at email, I'll just go and look.

This can be set in your "Tones" setting, and "email notification tone"

You could also set:
"Nokia Messaging" / "Settings" / "send & receive"
- to "ever hour" instead of "sooner". This was messaging will only check for new mail every hour, extending battery life aswell.

Another way is "Nokia Messaging" / "Settings" / "General" / "Download Notifications" / "Off"

Nokia Messaging->Settings->"Download Notifications" has been Off the entire time. My guess is that setting only affects notices that would appear upon completion of downloading file attachments. Changing the "Send & Receive" setting would not affect the basic behavior I was trying to change, only the frequency of encountering it.

However, as suggested by GM Free, in the phone's General settings, Tones -> "email notitication tone" did the trick. I did not realize that the setting there varied with each profile for the phone, so I had to go in and change it for every profile that I use. Now it works as desired.

Turns out the problem isn't solved by turning off "email notification tone". As far as I can tell at the moment, the only setting which appears to actually control whether or not the phone vibrates when an email comes in to Nokia Messaging is the general setting for "Vibrating Alert." If that is off, the phone won't vibrate. The problem is, for my Silent profile, I need Vibrating Alert to know when a call is coming in.

This is really frustrating how Nokia hasn't thought through basic usage scenarios for Nokia Messaging. Nokia should either link the notifications to the "email notification tone" setting, or just put a separate control in Nokia Messaging's own settings, so it can be configured independently of the rest of the phone's operations.
