Need to delete one account and add that Email ID to another account!

I went through the entire Nokia Email site, but did not find any documentation as to how i can delete one account.

The problem is -

I had first signed up for an account using my Gmail ID. But i had not been able to set up Nokia Email on my N85 to use my WiFi connection.

Today, i did a hard reset on my phone and decided to give it another try. But just to keep the whole Nokia Account thing going, i decided to create an account using my OVI id and add my email addresses to this account if it works via WiFi. I managed to get it to work, but now i cannot use my Gmail ID with this Account.

Can the old account registered using my Gmail ID be deleted so that i can add my gmail id to this account?

Yes and No.
Yes it can be deleted but not by you, but by nokia.
You must contact nokia and inform them of the changes.
They will delete the previous account from their system then you would be able to add your old email account to your new nokia messaging account.

Have sent a mail to Nokia India Care. Don't expect much from them :)
Any special Nokia Email support team i could contact?

You do not need to delete your primary gmail account, as i understand u mean it is also your user name.
Just keep current user name and change your primary account to ovi in your account provided in this link. Add your ovi, then u should be given the choice of primary account.

Thanks snowy! So do you mean if I change my primary account to ovi, I can automatically use it as my username to login on nokia email service? Because that's what I want to do. And what's the use of the cancel link on the My Subscription section. If I click that, will I be opted out on using nokia email. Will this mean I can reregister my gmail account to my ovi account (being the ovi as my username)?

Still cannot use my Gmail account in the Nokia Email registered to my OVI Account! It is plain frustrating!!! Why can't i simply delete an account...

Hello alsiladka!

I successfully deleted my Gmail account on Nokia Email and able to add it on my Ovi Account. Just log-in to your Gmail account on Nokia Messaging and cancel your subscription there (by clicking the Cancel link in My subscription section). Now you will be able to add it on your Ovi account afterwards. Hope this helps and answers your problem.

Strangely, i checked up the Gmail Nokia Email account right after you posted this, and the Cancel option was available.

But i remember for sure that the cancel option was not present previously, even though it was present in the Ovi Nokia Email account.
