Hello,

i'm a french E71 owner and i used to receive and send my emails with Mail for Exchange, thanx to the free Mail2Web service. Unfortunately, this service is now discontinued.
My data plan with SFR (called Illimythics Pro) only allowed me this solution as a so-called Push Mail, because they block lot of ports (POP3 will work, not IMAP, and you have to be able to choose wapsfr access point).

I've decided to switch to Nokia Messenging. After installing the software, the application starts a network test, and gets stuck to a 'trying to connect to mess. server' message.

I assume that, once again, ports that Nokia Messaging is using are blocked by SFR. If only i could choose access point BEFORE the EMail setup, i guess it would work.

Question :
- Is it possible to go back to the old Nokia Email Client on my E71 ? I've read here and there it was compatible with POP3 and wapsfr access point. If so, where could i find it ?

- Will you guyz enable Nokia Messaging's users to choose access point BEFORE it launches ?

thanx
ludo
