I wonder where select access point has gone, Have I coulnd't find it or its really missing, my Nokia Messaging Client uses My home wireless access point as default, when I am not at home it should ask for select access point but it does not. I see the sync symblol disabled, some times it syncs using GPRS access point dont know how it works. Can someone help me out in this
I discovered a workaround, but it is not an ideal solution - whenever I go online with the S60 browser an select an access point (e.g. my 3G), Nokia messaging uses that on the next sync. So, if I want to use it via Wifi again, I first have to use the browser with my wifi network, and voila, NM is back on wifi. I honestly don't understand, though, why there is no option to select an access point the normal way.

One work around (and the one I use) is to buy (it's cheap) and install 'Psiloc Connect' - it's pretty useful app which creates itself as an access point, you set this as the default everywhere and then whenever you try and connect it deciphers which the best available connection is (be it wifi, 3G, 2G etc) and connects.

Well, I've played around for a few days and found that if I setup Nokia Messenging using GPRS, it'll sync using GPRS.
If i set it up using Wlan, it'll sync using WLAN 1. However, if u change WLAN 1 to other WLAN, it will not sync......

i am using an E 72 and the missing access point feature is really annoying. You manually have to change it in account settings/access point and then also retype your mailbox password. What it needs is the "always ask" option.
