My autorotate on the N95-3 works, but seems to be more reliable when the phone is held perpendicular to the floor. If you place the phone on a table and rotate, it can not detect the change. When you hold it in the air facing you, it is very reliable.
Try holding the phone more vertically and see if it is less buggy.
if your images are naturally "upside down" (because you shot them like that), you cannot view them in Photo Browser because the auto rotation will always rotate the image into "upside down" if you rotate the phone. Solution: add an option to manually rotate images.
no, no. the pics are ok taken, but sometimes the auto rotation doesn't respond well, that's all.
Thanks. Does it not respond fast enough or make no response at all? Or does it make undesirable rotation, otherwise?
Having opened and closed NPB a number of times I have noted that sometimes auto rotate of images works and sometimes it ignores the orientation of the phone.
To clarify. . .
When I say that auto rotate does not recognise the orientation of the phone the images rotate to landscape/portrait but are set for my screen being orientated landscape as the menu is.
When I say that auto rotate does recognise the orientation of the phone the images rotate to landscape/portrait but are set for my screen being orientated portrait (normal) and auto re-orientate when I rotate my phone to landscape (on side).
Also sometimes it just takes a while to figure itself out.
Does this have anything to the fact that "S60 3rd Edition FP2 without accelerometer, or S60 3rd Edition FP1". Specifically "without accelerometer" as a number of FP1 phones have accelerometers including the N95 8Gb.
Cheers for the download page update refering to the "not compatible" message.

N95 8Gb (Product Code: 0558787 (UK)) FW 31.0.018
Auto rotate of images does not work at all on this device - works perfectly on The N95 8gb every time but never works on the N85
I have tried turning off the auto rotate in settings for the device and turning back on but has no effect
