I noticed, that the 3 rows can be moved up and down a little.
So it might be possible to add an optional setting for a choice between f.e. 3 and 20 rows.
So it would be possible to scroll 2dimensional.
At least for touchscreen phones it would be realy a great effect

Thanks for an idea. For your interest, we've treid 5 rows before. We've decided to keep it 3 rows as it became easy to get lost where you are.
Getting lost in a neverending triple row (800pics between 300KB and 5MB =1.5 GB) is one of the major reasons for my suggestion.
Of course a kind of grouping is very important, but a 2D scrolling would help and make additional fun.
If you integrate it as setting choice from 3 to 20 rows, each could find his own preference.
f.e.: a groups of 100 pics sorted in 10 rows woulld be excellent to overview.
The touchscreen is capable even to scroll diagonal. So as well nice to play around with
