The download page suggests you should use "S60 3rd Edition FP2 without accelerometer, or S60 3rd Edition FP1" with the E66 but I recommend "S60 5th Edition, or S60 3rd Edition FP2 with accelerometer" as it works perfectly and adds accelerometer support for autorotate (also working perfectly).

The app is pretty slow to run until thumbnails are created, especially if you have a large number of images but be patient and you will find it improves dramatically once thumbnail caching is complete.

While limited in features at this point this looks to be an excellent photo viewer emerging from Nokia. I will be using this as my default viewer from now on.

E66 is an expection to rule. It has S60 3.2 accelerometer sensor even it's S60 3.1.
We're trying to hide that mess from users so one sis fits to all then.

I can confim it's running perfectly on E66 with accelometer support. To me it seems like its even running smoother than the suggestet version...

I have thw N95 8Gb which has an internal acceleromter which I have enabled and see the benefit of all the time. Does this mean that I could use the "with Accelerometer" version or do I have to use the "Without Accelerometer" version as the N95 8Gb is FP1.

Have noticed that with the "Without Accelerometer" version the images usually rotate when I rotate my phone anyway.

Is this all because FP2 and later phones have a different accelerometer or associated parts/code?

that is what i was thinking. the fp2 version with accelerometer doesnt open on my innov8 so i am resigned to using the other version which is weird

Hi mbrett,

Please just use the FP1 version for N95. For FP1 devices, there is no separate version for with and without the accelerometer.

I assume the with and without accelerometer is specifically aimed at FP2 then and as you say the without acceleromter version, which is also the FP1 version is actually supposed to use thw accelerometer is available and its response to phone orientation is not a remnant of the original with accelerometer version whic has been modified to create this.

I hope I explained my question well enough.

SIS files use different sensor interfaces:
* FP2 w/ acc is for phones with new Sensor framework. If phone doesn't have sensor app won't start.
* FP2 w/o acc & FP1 uses older Sensor API. It is implemented dynamically so even phone has no accelerometer app runs fine.
