I'd like to see changeable background color with option to choose: like simple colors, wall pappers or jus use the theme background. would be nice to see it in future.
i know that this would ''eat the hardware'' but after a while the black background becomes really dull and boring. would be nicer to have theme support.
For me the black background is good as it avoids distraction from the pictures you are actually wishing to browser.
This is of course just my opinion.

ok but maybe they could put this for users to choose the background color.
I agree with mbrett, besides it would kill the memory.
If say for example a background was added, i wish it would be a mosaic mash up of pictures.
That would make a real cool factor.
