Grouping by Time and Geo Tagged Photos...
Photo grouping based on time(day view, week view...),
Photo grouping by using Geo Tag of pictures taken from 5800 or other compatable Nokia devices.
No need to re-render the same images for tweaking image load time... Rendered imags should save on flash memory or its RAM for faster browsing.
Even i came to make the same request. A continous steam of photos isn't as much fun as a grouped stream. Adding a few grouped views would make viewing the pics in the photo browser a lot more fun.
Thanks. View-by-group is by now one of the most popular requests. There seems to be several different reasons behind this. We'll think what is a good -- and preferably fun -- way of offering this.
Well grouping is more complicated then said unless if well executed.
It should use the same system as used on Ovi share and Nokia Photo for PC.
It should follow the same directory and data features. It should all be coherent so wherever viewed or edited will look and provide the same information in the same format.
Not a separate system i hope.
Well, simple digital cameras have grouping feature!... I have Sony and Panasonic's simple Digital cameras that have grouping feature... There is a logical reason by grouping pictures (especialy) by time!... 3D navigation should not be a simple on a WALL!... There must be some 3D rooms for grouped pictures... (Maybe) Grouping by GPS tag from exif is a bit hard! So GPS tag should be excluded but grouping by date has a logical reason...
i just realized that its there in the default 5800 gallery , but its extremely tedious, you have to make a folder, then mark each item and move them into the folder. it doesn't detect the folders that i made, but i have to make folders separately in the gallery.
anyway thats a bit off topic. I'm not looking for a similar solution in NPB, but rather detecting the folders as it was stored, in the normal folder hierarchy...
I think we need sorting by date of creation in the view-by-folder, rather than by date of last modification.
Or simply by name in the view-by-folder
location grouping seems a great idea, if possible at all... but I haven't found a way to tell if a photo actually has location info in NPB (or in the gallery) in my 5800, is it a way to see this info in NPB?
