PLEASE, if you* can, make this application to work with all Symbian 3rd edition phones.
Its really good application, I need it, but I love my phone, I don't want to change to another.

i agree, eventhough i have a n82, i'm always for the idea that nokia should think on all of their users not just the one with the latest phones. it's called CRM (customer relationship management) :)
The principal of BETA testing is that it is always going to favour the newer technology. It is a pain when your electronics becomes old and unsupported, but BETA testing always needs to be forward looking and this requires phones with more recent operating systems and firmware.
The development teams work with what is available and capable of supporting the requirements of there projects. If you want to blame anyone blame evolution and progress and not Nokia. All manufacturers stop supporting older products at some point and the mobile phone industry is one of the faster evolving markets.

ok but the guy has n73 not n70, the most popular among cell phones. I think it's a big mistake leting some of the product left out the project. It's the same like with the n gage wich i think is a big mistake and a loss for Nokia, no one else, eventhough it's possible. Really should consider some decision more thoroughly and their consequences
This is something that's really annoying about this. I agree with milan21884 it is one of the good phones and still they don't support it. Why would they stop supporting the N73? I can understand the N70 not being included but the N73?

And I was a Nokia N82 owner but was sold, and I purchased a new N73.
For me no need GPS, wifi or other stuff, but i really like new programs to have on my phone.
Nokia is S T U P I D, because they can anything to do with phones(softwares), but they don't want to put this software to N73, like N-Gage.
However, I use N-gage application modified by B*nPDA, and I'm verry glad to play new games, and Nokia loses gamers, who can buy these games.
So, I think that Nokia must to change thinking.....

I'm glad to see our users are wanting NPB in more devices.
However, we have no plan to make it available for S60 3.0 devices, including N73.
Let me explain why.
NPB is an experiment; it is not an offering yet.
And that's why it is in the Beta labs.
Our experiment includes the comparison of the user experience with the touch and non-touch versions.
For this purpose, the both versions need to achieve the similar level of the speed.
With 3.0 devices, this is very difficult due to the HW limitation.
Also while being an experimental project, we simply cannot use our capacity to port and test NPB for another platform.
I hope this settles the discussion.
Anyway it is clear that there are still many 3.0 device users, and they want NPB type of software.
This is a topic when NPB finally flies and becomes a real offering.
Further to the above. Personally myself I don't think the N73 could cut it with NPB, because it just hasn't got the hardware resources. I own an N73, and while I think it's one of the best phones Nokia have produced, I'm not expecting NPB to run on it, simply because I know it doesn't have the CPU power or the 3D graphics chip of the vanilla N95 or the 8GB.
So, if Nokia don't want (or know*) to make this app.(NPB) for these phones* (however does not even try to do) they not have to do! :-(
But!
I hope that in the future we will have similar app. from another developer, with features like NPB.
I think there are many developer* for symbian platform, and some one will create app. like NPB.

I think part of the reason why we are only able to use NPB on the N95 upwards is because of FP1.
I believe FP1 (Feature Pack 1) was the starting point for Nokia to introduce the Kastor UI into the S60 platform. The Kastor UI is all the little menu transitions and 3D effects for which 3D acceleration is required. Pressing the multimedia key on the N95 will bring up the carousel, which I believe is part of the Kastor UI. The N96 with FP2 has more of the Kastor UI built in and the 5800 has more than the N96.
Maybe someone will work on a similar thing for pre-FP1 devices.
What I would like to see however is visualisation plug-ins for the music player.
So StickyMick if you want to see more visualisation on ANY s60v3 phones, just use the latest TTPOD 3.3 application, it's verry powerfull. After installation you can add more plugins&visualisations.
Anyway I wondering why Nokia don't put Fp1 in N73?Only reason is hardware?Wat the difference between N73, 6120, or N82?
I have results from jbenchmark.com, and they tell us that N73 have CPU(ARM9) work on 206 to 239 Mhz, 6120 have CPU(ARM11) on 367 Mhz, and N82 have CPU(ARM11) on 297 Mhz.
Ok N82 have 3D accelerator, but 6120 doesen't. Difference between N73 and 6120 is CPU clock speed? However 6120 have FP1 and NPB works fine on phone. I can't understand.....

It may not just be the 3D chip that's the deciding factor. It could also be the instruction set in the main CPU. As you've discovered the N73 has an older ARM CPU than the 6120 and N82.
(Interestingly enough, the N73 was a "Dual CPU" handset)
