Some photos are GPS tagged, if there is a button "Show on MAP"
once we press the button, Nokia Maps open and show the location of the picture.
we can show to our friend where was the picture taken.

That's a nice idea.
agreed! i spend lots of my time geotagging my photos, it would be great to actually have an easy way to show it!
It may be difficult to make interaction between 2 program, but it is really handy to do so.
given that the bridge (Landmarks) is already there and comes pre-installed with all Nokia GPS handsets, this should be a trivial thing to implement.
I wonder, though... I would think that in 2009 the reusability of code would go without saying. However, sometimes I get an impression that Nokia's left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. It seems as though every new application is re-inventing the wheel, where one would think they'd use existing procedures.
We the users see the effects of this as the various applications have different ways to perform the same task, or when we must switch from ex photo browser to gallery app to be able to set an image as a bacground or to e-mail one. Would it not make sense to have a single definition as to how, say GPS data is communicated between apps that use that data. Or whenever there is a selectable objects, they can be selected by same method, and for a given type of object the options menu presents a standard set of options.
Just look at the comments on photo browser: I wish I had had the gallery menu. Image Exchange: I wish I had the gallery menu. etc etc...
Yes! 100% agree with you, why I say it may be difficult is that NPB and MAPs are made by two groups of people. We can't expect anything If there isn't a project manager who manage all these projects.
Not only application, firmware of different phones are written by different people. The bug in this model may not exists in other models, even they are running the same version and Feature Pack.
There is a big problem of software engineering in Nokia.
i agree with IMAGINARY.FRIEND. Totally right about having various applications that have different ways to perform the same task. Really should think about it in the current and future project. Should try to creat apps that could be in someway corelated and joined.
